Our journey began almost two years ago when my husband and I decided our daughter needs a sister.  We had always thought about adoption and our hearts were once again calling us that direction.  We considered adopting in the states, but after some research didn’t feel lead that direction. Shortly after making that decision we met a family with two beautiful daughters from China.  We were immediately drawn to them and we had a million question.  Our heart was leading us to China and we felt that clearly.  After some investigation, discussion with our extended family, and much prayer we decided to move ahead with our adoption. 

The process of adopting internationally is lengthy and expensive.  We explored a couple of ways of raising money to help with the expense, but none of which helped out a tremendous amount.  Then we found out about A Child’s Hope.  Thanks to them we were able to participate in the Bruce Cavanaugh raffle ticket fundraiser, which helped us raise a significant sum of money to help with our inter-China travel, which hopefully will be coming up soon.  (We are eagerly awaiting the referral for our daughter.)  We are thankful for all A Child’s Hope does to help unite children with their “forever families.”
